Stainless Steel

Advanced Global Materials provide a complete range of stainless steel in addition to its standard alloy steel selection.  Stainless steel is a tried and true material for its varying properties of strength, corrosion resistance, workability and cosmetic finishing. Applications of the various stainless steel we offer include aircraft components, valves, shafts, gears, fasteners, flanges, petrochemical and nuclear components.

Forms are available as plates, rods, sheets, tubing, pipes, wire, and forgings and many others, including custom shapes.

Just a few of the grades we offer include:

13-8MO Stainless Steel:  a precipitation hardening, martensitic stainless steel alloy offering fracture toughness and transverse mechanical properties along with resistance to stress corrosion and high strength characteristics common to precipitation hardening steels.  This alloy is double vacuum melted to consistently assure low gas content, improved homogeneity and superior cleanliness.  Although the strength and machinability of 13-8MO is limited, this material can be formed using many of the techniques we employ.    Forms are available as plates, rods, sheets, tubing, pipes, wire, and forgings.  To have custom shapes and sizes produced to your specifications, contact our staff.  Like the 17-4PH plate or 4130 flat bar we offer, 13-8MO can be cold worked and formed using conventional methods.

17-4PH Stainless Steel:  a highly alloyed stainless steel used in applications that are exposed to high temperatures such as heat exchangers and furnace parts.  This property is due to the large amounts of chromium in its content.  Other features include easy workability for optimal fitting and welding.  Like the 13-8 sheet we offer, this grade is economical, resistant to corrosion and resistant to oxidation at increased temperatures and in mildly corrosive environments.  Being a ferrite material, 17-4PH is liable to fracture at sub-zero temperatures, and cannot be used in cryogenic applications.
