Inconel 601 Tube Pipe is a high-strength, frequently-used engineering material that is very resistant to heat and corrosion, and boasts excellent workability. Especially useful in the heat-treating industry, the applications for Inconel 601 Tube Pipe include muffles and furnace components, as well as the heat treatment of trays and baskets. Inconel 601 Tube Pipe can only be strengthened by cold work. This alloy is available as: flanges, pipe fittings, welded pipe, seamless pipe, bar, wire, seamless tube, welded tube, wire, bar, and sheet.
Inconel Alloy 690 is a simple, austenitic alloy whose excellent ductility and compatibility with all conventional forming methods make it a perfect choice for high-temperature or corrosive applications such as petrochemical heaters, furnaces, duct work, and high-temperature burners. Inconel Alloy 690’s high chromium content makes it very resistant to wear caused by hot gases and oxidizing chemicals. Since Inconel Alloy 690 boasts more strength than standard steel, especially powerful equipment is required to successfully form the alloy. Inconel Alloy 690 does not respond to aging thermal treatment, and hardens by cold work only. It is important to use powerful lubricants during cold forming of this alloy, and then thoroughly remove all remaining lubricant so that it does not become damaged during exposure to high temperatures.
Inconel Incoloy 909 901 903, commonly referred to as Inconel 909, is comprised of nickel, iron, and cobalt. Inconel Incoloy 909 901 903 boasts many wonderful characteristics that make it an industry standard, including: exceptionally high strength, a constant low coefficient of thermal expansion, and a stable modulus of elasticity. Inconel Incoloy 909 901 903 (with a silicone addition) achieves these beneficial properties through much shorter and simpler heat treatments, as well as far less-restrictive processing, than its counterparts. It also provides improved notch-rupture. Inconel Incoloy 909 901 903 is available as: sheet, wire, rounds, flats, extruded section, and forging stock.
